Rich in omega-3 (EPA & DHA)
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential and polyunsaturated fatty acids that we can only ingest through food. A distinction must be made between the plant-based omega-3 fatty acid ALA and the two marine omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.
ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) occurs in linseed, chia seeds, linseed oil or walnuts. EPA and DHA, occurs however, only in algae, fish or krill. The two omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA are particularly important for our heart, brain and eyes. Numerous studies prove the positive effect on our health. EPA supports healthy heart function and maintenance of normal triglyceride levels. DHA has a positive effect on the brain and supports its function and development. In addition, it also has a positive effect on maintaining normal eyesight.

Omega-3 ALA is not the same as Omega-3 EPA & DHA
It is important to know that only very small amounts of the omega-3 fatty acid ALA can be converted by the human body into the important marine fatty acids EPA and DHA. The conversion factor may only be 0.5-10% (depending on your weight, metabolism, etc.).
NORSAN vegan omega-3 capsules contain 1,700 mg marine omega-3 fatty acids per daily dose (4 capsules), of which there is 420 mg EPA and 840 mg DHA.
